The $22.4 trillion question
Kingdom Advisors research estimates American church members hold roughly $22.4 trillion in investable assets — close to half of all public market investment in the country. The movement exists to ask what that money is doing.
Where the CKA® came from
Kingdom Advisors was founded in 2003 — Larry Burkett among its founders — as a discipleship ministry for Christian financial professionals. Its flagship work is the Certified Kingdom Advisor® designation.
The credential is not a weekend course. It requires a biblical financial principles education program, a passing exam, ten years of industry experience or an equivalent major designation such as CFP®, CFA® or ChFC®, three references including one from a pastor or church leader, and a signed statement of personal Christian stewardship.
A movement, measured
What began with Larry Burkett's original sixteen CFPs is now a network of thousands of advisors, with hundreds trained through the CKA® program each year and eleven Christian universities now training the next generation.
Its annual conference drew 2,700 attendees in 2025, including 1,043 first-time attendees and 267 students with 50 faculty from 30 colleges and universities.
Why the number matters
If church members really do hold something near half of America's invested capital, then the ordinary Christian retirement account is one of the most underused instruments of cultural influence in the country.
Kingdom Advisors' own client research found 61% of people working with a CKA® said they had become less anxious about their finances. Aligning money with conviction does not only change companies. It changes the person holding the account.
Eric Kabler holds the CKA® designation, which is why this movement is not an abstraction to us — it is the standard we are held to.
“Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.”
